Official requirements
The Engine Sim APK needs Android 7.0 and up, about 29 MB for the download, and roughly 120 MB free during install for the unpacked data. That is the entire official list. If your phone is from the last several years, you already qualify.
The real-world minimum
Our test bench says: 2 GB of RAM for smooth audio, any working speaker, and a phone that is not already gasping for storage. Engine Sim runs on 7.0-era hardware, but the audio engine appreciates headroom; a struggling phone crackles at high revs. Lowering the in-app sound quality one notch fixes most of that.
What does not matter
Screen size, camera, 5G, flagship chips: none of it matters. This is a sound toy, not a 3D game. The fanciest GPU on earth will not make a V8 rumble harder. A good speaker matters more than a fast phone, which is why the sound quality guide is worth a read.
Internet needed?
Only for ads. The sim itself runs fully offline once installed, so airplane-mode revving is completely viable.
